Turf Star Western (TSW) is seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our growing business team in Brea, CA! TSW is a leader in Commercial Turf, Consumer, Residential Landscape Contractor, and Construction equipment for the West Coast. Entry level and experienced mechanics are welcome to apply. This position is responsible for all types of diagnostic and mechanical repairs in a billable and warranty setting and maintenance work on commercial and contractor products. This can include but is not limited to small engine overhaul, maintenance on gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, welding, and minor painting. This position also assists in the maintenance of the facility and shop work areas, including maintenance of shop tools and equipment. Entry level applicants to the Shop Mechanic job do not require the use of your own tools. Tools will be provided.

Job Qualifications

• Background in mechanics
• Basic computer skills required
• Excellent communication skills
• We will train to use engine and ECU diagnostic software

Essential Functions

• Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems with commercial equipment
• Performs repair and maintenance on small gas and diesel engines and machine’s hydraulic systems and/or
electrical systems
• Performs both simple and complicated blade sharpening duties
• Accurately and timely submits administrative duties daily. Parts orders, labor logs, accurate electronic reporting
of time and attendance, etc.

• The pay range for this position is $25.00-$31.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Paid 2 times a month (semi-monthly)
• Paid time off earned per pay period based on months of service.
