The Ventrac KR502 Terra Rake (Stock Code 39.55431) is engineered around a simple but significant advantage over pull-behind rakes — it mounts to the front of the Ventrac tractor, keeping the entire 49" working width in full view of the operator at all times. This means material is pushed and directed rather than pulled under the machine, minimizing compaction of freshly worked soil and giving the operator precise, intuitive control over every pass. The 28 curved steel tines fine-comb the surface to a depth of up to 3 inches, removing small stones, leveling high spots, filling low spots, and creating the kind of smooth, refined seedbed that gives new lawn installations the best possible start. The same tines used in the forward direction work equally well in reverse for pulling material into windrows, adding versatility to the basic rake operation without any tool changes required.

A single hydraulic cylinder controls the angling of the entire tine assembly up to 28 degrees left or right directly from the operator seat, allowing debris and soil to be directed into a windrow on either side without stopping to manually reposition the attachment. Front swivel gauge wheels are adjustable front-to-back for precise tine depth control, and can be repositioned between inner and outer mounts to match the task at hand — inner for windrowing, outer for straight grading passes. Optional 10-inch extensions are available for purchase, adding 20 inches of additional working width when a wider sweep is needed. For pulling applications, the KR502 can also be remounted to the rear 3-point hitch using the Ventrac 3-N-1 adapter, making it a genuinely dual-direction tool across the full range of site prep and landscape maintenance work.
