The BOSS VBX 3000 was purpose-built to bring the full VBX spreader feature set down to the compact vehicle and UTV platform — not a stripped-down version of a larger unit, but a fully specified spreader engineered from the start for the weight limits, bed dimensions, and power infrastructure of full-size UTVs. The corrosion-resistant poly hopper holds 12 cu. ft. of material and sits on a 52" x 50" footprint that fits within the minimum 33.5" bed length requirement of most compact utility vehicles, with a 230 lb. empty weight that keeps the load manageable within UTV payload ratings. A standard VCP tarp with bungee tie-downs is included to keep material dry and protected from the elements between loads.

The auger-drive system at the heart of the VBX 3000 is a 4" diameter shaftless auger — a design choice with real-world consequences on a job site. Without a central shaft running through the material, bridging and jamming are significantly reduced compared to shaft-style feeders, and the controller's built-in auto-reverse and Blast functions handle the occasional obstruction without requiring the operator to leave the vehicle. The digital in-cab controller independently manages feeder and spinner speeds with dedicated dials and digital speed displays, and includes a vibrator function to keep material flowing freely in cold or bridging-prone conditions. Rear work lights, adjustable material deflectors for spread pattern control, and a field-adjustable baffle for flow rate tuning round out a spreader built to handle a full winter's operation without sending the crew back to the shop.
