The STIHL HLA 66 Extended-Reach Hedge Trimmer gives landscape professionals the reach, control, and performance they need while eliminating the noise, fumes, and maintenance of gas equipment. Powered by the STIHL AP battery system (36V lithium-ion), its quiet operation allows crews to work earlier in the morning and later in the evening, and to tackle jobs in noise-sensitive locations like neighborhoods, hospitals, and care facilities where gas tools aren't welcome. With an overall reach that lets operators trim the tops and sides of tall, wide hedges while keeping both feet safely on the ground, the HLA 66 removes the need for ladders and the risk that comes with them.

At the working end is a 20" double-sided cutter bar with a 115-degree articulating head, adjustable from -45° to +70°, giving operators the versatility to match the blade angle to virtually any task — hedge tops, sides, or ground-level growth. The laser-cut, diamond-ground blades hold their hardened cutting edges longer for clean, precise cuts pass after pass, while the low-maintenance brushless motor and variable-speed trigger deliver smooth power and fine control. IPX4-rated weather-resistant construction means the tool stands up to splash and damp conditions, and the compact, ergonomic design with rubberized soft-touch handle reduces fatigue across long workdays. Please note this unit is sold as a tool only and does not include a battery or charger — both are required for operation and available separately through the STIHL AP System.
