The Ryan Lawnaire V-EST was built on the foundation of the Lawnaire's legendary drum-style design and improved on the one thing that wore operators out most — steering. The Easy Steer Technology (EST) tine assembly redesign allows each tine assembly to independently rotate at different speeds around a turn, meaning outer tines travel faster through the arc while inner tines slow — the same mechanical principle used in all-wheel-drive differentials, applied to an aerator drum. The practical result is that the operator can steer the machine through turns without pulling the tines out of the ground, eliminating the stop-lift-turn-re-engage cycle that compounds over thousands of square feet of work into meaningful physical fatigue and lost productivity. A throttle control positioned at the operator handle and vibration-reducing grip further reduce operator effort during extended runs.

The drive and tine system underneath is the same rugged construction the Lawnaire platform has always been known for: a belt-tightener clutch feeding a 4L V-belt primary drive, and a single #40 nickel-plated chain for tine and drum drive — both well-proven in commercial rental and contractor environments for durability and ease of servicing in the field. The 42 hollow austemper-hardened alloy steel tines punch 0.75" cores to a depth of up to 2.75" at a 3.75" x 7" aeration pattern, covering up to 9 holes per square foot. Two removable 36 lb. side weights are included for operators who need deeper penetration in hard or compacted soils, and are easily removed for loading and unloading without tools. Power comes from a 4-cycle Honda GX120 at 118cc with recoil start, on/off switch, and low-oil alert — one of the most reliable small engines in the commercial outdoor power equipment category.
