New, overstocked inventory, in-stock and ready to ship – surplus inventory, limited supply.
The GiANT GR680G is a professional-grade 150 lb. vibratory rammer engineered and manufactured in the Netherlands by Tobroco-Giant, built to deliver high-impact compaction in trench work, pipe bedding, backfill operations, and narrow-access applications where a plate compactor can’t reach. Powered by the Honda GXR120 4-stroke engine and capable of 650 strokes per minute at a 2.7″ stroke height, it’s a machine built for contractors who need serious compaction force in a maneuverable package.

The GiANT GR680G was designed and built in the Netherlands, where Tobroco-Giant has spent over 45 years engineering compaction equipment for professional contractors across Europe and North America. The GR680G is the heavier-footed member of GiANT's rammer lineup — at 150 lbs. and a standard 11" shoe width, it delivers more compaction force per blow than lighter rammers in the class, making it the right tool for cohesive and semi-cohesive soils, trench backfill over pipe and conduit, granular fill in confined areas, and road and pavement sub-base preparation where proper compaction depth and density are non-negotiable. Shoe width is configurable at 7.5" or 9" for operators working in narrower trenches or tighter-tolerance compaction applications.
The drive system pairs the Honda GXR120 — a 121cc, 4-stroke gasoline engine rated at 2.7 kW — with a mechanically timed impact mechanism that delivers 450 to 650 strokes per minute at a 70mm (2.7") stroke height. That stroke height is the critical spec: deeper stroke means the compaction energy penetrates further into the lift with each blow, allowing operators to compact thicker lifts in fewer passes rather than building up in thin layers. A vibration-damping steering bracket is built into the handle system to absorb the rammer's cyclic impact forces at the operator's hands and wrists, reducing fatigue over the course of a full-day compaction operation. GiANT products are developed and manufactured in the Netherlands and distributed exclusively in North America through Tobroco Machinery in Cedar Falls, Iowa — backed by a company with four-plus decades of compaction equipment expertise behind every machine.
- 150 lb. Class Rammer with 70mm Stroke Height for Deep Compaction Penetration — at 150 lbs. and 2.7" of stroke height, the GR680G is built to drive compaction energy deep into each lift, reducing the number of passes needed to reach specification density on cohesive soils and trench backfill operations
- Honda GXR120 Engine with 450–650 Stroke Frequency Range — the 121cc 4-stroke Honda GXR120 delivers 2.7 kW to a variable-frequency impact mechanism, giving operators a wide stroke rate range to match the rammer's output to soil type and lift depth
- Vibration-Damping Steering Bracket and Configurable Shoe Widths — a purpose-built handle damping system absorbs cyclic impact forces at the operator's hands and wrists over long compaction runs, while shoe width options at 7.5", 9", and 11" allow the same machine to work efficiently in narrow trenches or wider backfill applications
