Turf Star Western (TSW) is hiring a Pre‑Owned Equipment Technician to help recondition commercial equipment for resale. This is a hands‑on role offering variety, strong support, and long‑term opportunity within a respected organization.
Job Qualifications
- Experience with small engine repair, hydraulics, and diesel systems
- Turf equipment experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Basic computer skills (training provided for diagnostic/ECU software)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active throughout the workday
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
Essential Functions
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and recondition used and lease‑return equipment for resale
- Repair small gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and basic electrical systems
- Perform blade sharpening (simple to advanced)
- Complete daily administrative tasks (parts orders, labor logs, electronic time tracking)
- Partner with the Shop Foreman or Service Manager to support shop productivity and efficiency
- Maintain a positive, professional, and safety‑focused work environment
