Business is about the bottom dollar and when it comes to your business we understand that you need to be cognizant of the investments you make within your business! One of our favorite investments is the Ventrac SSV and 4500 series. These vehicles and their attachments are amazing pieces of equipment that are second to none in versatility and efficiency. With over 30 attachments and top of the line vehicles, Ventrac has been consistently producing high quality equipment that saves operators time and money. In this article we will be exploring the cost of the Ventrac SSV and 4520 as well as looking at some various pricing through their line of attachments.
How much does a Ventrac Cost?
Ventrac offers two different vehicle lines, the SSV and the 4500 series.
The SSV (Sidewalk Snow Vehicle) is a four wheeled, standing sidewalk vehicle that comes compatible with attachments designed specifically for clearing snow and ice off of sidewalks. This vehicle is an amazing option for municipalities, schools/universities, or snow removal companies that are looking for an easier way to clear sidewalks. The SSV starts at $15,240 MSRP and comes with additional options that come at an additional cost.
The 4500 series is Ventrac’s flagship product, a compact tractor with an articulating frame that is compatible with over thirty different attachments. This all wheel drive tractor comes with a flex frame design that provides smoother operation and less turf disturbance during operation. The Ventrac 4520 comes in 5 different options, the K,P,Y,Z, and N with prices starting at $26,470 MSRP and moving up to $31,070 MSRP depending on the model you choose. Like the SSV the 4500 series also comes with additional options available that come at additional costs.
What is the price of a Ventrac Attachment
Due to the fact that there are over 30 attachments available for a Ventrac 4520, the range in cost per attachment really can vary from attachment to attachment. While some attachments may run you upwards of $15,000 (the Boom Mower for example), others, such as the Snow Plow ND (MSRP $1,740) and the Power Bucket HE (MSRP $2,750) will be on the lower end of the price range for attachments. The lion’s share of attachments will MSRP between $5,000 and $10,000 depending on the attachment with a handful of attachments being higher priced and others being more affordable.

What are the costs of not using a Ventrac?
But the question we really must be asking ourselves in all of this is: but what does it cost me to not use a Ventrac? We all understand that productivity and efficiency are key drivers for keeping your overhead down and increasing your bottom line. We here at Turf Star Western hear stories all the time about how a Ventrac has added large amounts of new contracts to a landscaper’s book or how a Ventrac has so dramatically reduced time spent on a project that they now have more billable hours in a day. The up-front investment is oftentimes made back in spades during the life of the vehicle.
