Our History

In 1978 Gene and Marie Warne purchased the Toro Distributor, Western Equipment, located in Burlingame CA, covering the 17 coastal counties of Northern California, forming WestStar Inc.  In 1987, Len Gregory purchased San Diego Toro which covered San Diego and Imperial counties.

In 1992 Gene and Marie expanded their territory to include the California Central Valley and Western Nevada, through the purchase of Duke Equipment.  In 1996 Len Gregory expanded San Diego Turf to include all of Southern California, the Coachella Valley and Baja Mexico and became Cal Turf.

In 2000 Len, Gene and Marie merged Cal Turf and West Star to form Turf Star Inc.     

Our company has  One Thousand  years of experience under our roof.  We have 100 of the best people in the industry.
